Thank you to the teachers, uncles and aunties who had assisted us in our project
Thank you, Yun-Zhen’s mother, for letting us know more about pineapple in such a scorching day. We remember the important things in growing pineapples and the common pineapple pests and diseases you said. We learned a lot about pineapple’s growth and cultivation techniques. Apart from that, you also let us taste the sweet pineapples and gave us many of the golden fruits as materials to make pineapple cake fillings.
Thank you, Mr. Xiao, for letting us visit your Pesticide-Free Guava Orchard and interview you. No matter how hard our questions were, you always answered kindly. We were so impressed. With your help, we learned about many aspects of guava, such as how to distinguish different cultivars by their appearances, smells and tastes. We also learned the way to grow guava trees without using pesticides and the common diseases and pests. “It is hard to grow guava trees. But with special care, the fruits bring you happiness.” This is the most precious lesson we learned from you and your guava.
Thank you for your help, Mr. Qui, to let us experience how to sell guavas in the annual Hosiery & Guava Festival. In the activity, we also learned many selling skills and how hard it is to make a living as a vendor. Without you, we couldn’t have the chance to taste the tasty Taiwanese guavas given by the stand owner and his wife. Thank you again, Mr. Qui, for sparing a time to arrange things for us.
Thank you, uncles and aunties from Jiehong High Quality Guava, for offering your stand to us and letting us involve in the selling process. In the Festival, you spared a time to teach us how to sell guava and explain the possible challenges when selling the fruit. And in the end, you even gave us free pearl guavas and Taiwanese guavas. For that, we are always grateful.
Thank you for showing us the whole process of making pineapple cakes, which helped us understand how the professional bakery works and the hardship of selling. We also learned how to use the antique scale and saw the new, big commercial bakery oven, which could turn 360 degree. In the end of our visit, you kindly gave us lots of pineapples; we are so sorry that you almost miss your delivery because of that. Thank you so much again. We will come and stop by whenever there is a chance.
Thank you very much, Instructor Lin, for coming to our school and teaching us how to make pickled guavas, letting us know what equipment and materials are needed in the process. It was our first time to make pickled guavas; we didn’t know there were so many procedures when making pickled guavas. We had no idea how long it takes and how much preparation it needs to make pickled guavas until the day you told us. In the end, you said that the guavas taste better after being put aside for 1 or 2 days, and the ones we see in markets are just like that. Thank you for letting us know these tips.
Thank you, auntie, for explaining the history of socks and their characteristics, and teaching us how to make sock dolls. With your excellent lecture, we knew more about the making of socks as well as the process. Thank you for giving us a nice, joyful afternoon.
