It’s coming! School carnival is finally coming. To attract more customers, our teachers wanted us to learn to design posters and logo for our booth, so we decided to go with pineapples-related theme and that was when “Pineapple Sweetheart” was born. Also, we labeled every pineapple cake with its materials, manufacturing date and expiry date. The following is the record of the activity.
1. Preparation of the Carnival – Designing Pineapple Sweetheart:
Remarks on Making Posters for the Bazaar:
Because we only got morning self-study time and lunch break for poster making, we had to rush a bit for it. We spent a lot of time on typesetting and words paper cutting. Finally, we decided on how the words for the slogan were to be placed, but we found that some of the words were too tiny, so we tore off those that were too small or too ugly and we re-cut and pasted again. But it took us for a while before deciding upon the color for the words and the best way to place them. Eventually, it was done in time.
2. The Activity of School Carnival Bazaar
Remarks on the School Carnival Bazaar:
Today was school carnival bazaar day. We carried an important mission which was to sell out all the pineapple cakes and the income of the day would be donated to buying new books for school library. We worked together to promote our products; some of us walked around to look for customers and others took care of the booth. Those who stayed at the booth had to make sure the number of the pineapple cakes that were taken to sell matched the amount of money that was taken back, so everyone was in hustle and bustle. Every one of us was trying our best to promote our products, so the pineapple cakes were sold out. After watching the faces that flickered with satisfaction, it seemed that our hard work had been paid off!
